Goals and Philosophy

ur Goal:

TO ENCOURAGE FAIR PLAY and ETHICAL BEHAVIOR IN YOUTH SPORTS LEAGUES THROUGH TRAINING OF PLAYERS AND PARENTS IN A SUPPORTIVE AND OPEN ENVIRONMENT


What We Do:

Provide quality ethics training to young athletes and their parents in order to:

  •    Enhance player and team experience
  •    Reduce incidents of conflicts on and off the playing field among kids, coaches and parents
  •    Open dialogue between parents, coaches,  and players
  •    Produce good role models, generous winners and gracious losers

How We Do It:

  •         Partner with local Town Recreation Departments, schools,  Athletic Leagues, JCCs, Y’s  and other sponsors of  youth team sports
  •         Tailor presentations and materials to your league’s specific standards  

                         §  All types of leagues – whether “fair play” or highly competitive- can benefit

§  Pre-training session discussion with league officials to clarify training goals

  • Pro vide age- and subject- appropriate training sessions for players and parents, including participatory discussions and Q&A.  
  •         Sessions are designed to engage and entertain 
  •         Distribute written materials containing training session summaries and advice/resources for parents
  •         Follow up with clubs and teams as requested

     Who We Are:

    •         Les Taub is a professional trainer with more than fifteen years of ethics training experience for government and industry. He has been a coach, volunteer, and umpire for Little League, school, and recreation association athletic teams in New York City.

    •         Melissa Green has a Masters in Psychology, and has taught young children and adolescents in various after-school programs.

    •         Les and Melissa are the parents of a young athlete who is now a Little League umpire and a coach at a renowned baseball camp.
